The Most Common Urological Disorders
Sexual Performance Problems - Most men will experience some problem with sexual performance in their lifetime. This very normal and very common problem is professionally known as "erectile dysfunction" (E.D.). Typically, there are five types of E.D. They are identified as: 1) inability to achieve and maintain erection; 2) premature ejaculation; 3) premature loss of erection; 4) retarded ejaculation; and 5) Peyronie's disease.
The Germantown Urology Center offers the most advanced and most successful treatments for erectile dysfunction ranging from the nonsurgical to the surgical. Ask Dr. Farsaii about all your options. Urinary Problems - The loss of bladder control is a condition that affects men and women alike. This condition is professionally known as "incontinence." There are several recognized types of incontinence. For many patients, incontinence is 100% correctable. The Germantown Urology Center is fully equipped with the necessary tools to determine the cause of an individual's incontinence and prescribe cures both surgical and nonsurgical.
Prostate Problems & Cancer - The prostate is located below the bladder and is about the size of a walnut. It is not an external organ. Most men over the age of 60 will experience problems with their prostate. The most common conditions are infections, enlarged prostate, and prostate cancer. Symptoms include difficulty in urinating, frequent urination, and dribbling urine. The Germantown Urology Center specializes in the diagnosis and full treatment of prostate-related conditions.
Kidney Stones - These rock-like substances are produced when the body is dehydrated and not receiving enough water for genetic, environmental, or nutritional reasons. The Germantown Urology Center is equipped with the latest technological equipment (lithotripsy) to relieve these painful substances without surgery. Lithotripsy uses shock waves to break the kidney stones into tiny pieces that can be passed through the urine.
